Festival season has arrived, and we’re only days away from Scorrier House getting transformed into a festival wonderland for the Great Estate. This year, the Cornwall festival brings a stacked lineup of grassroots music with an incredible representation of the music scene here in the South West.
Planning on who to watch? We’ve handpicked 5 South West acts we think you’ll love.
Droskyn
Friday 29th May | 13:45 | Stage on the Green
One of the winners of Great Estate’s Battle of the Bands, Droskyn will be bringing their alternative rock to the main stage on Friday afternoon. The Cornwall-based band have truly put their stamp on the local grassroots music scene in the past 12 months and made their gig debut at a Whisper Live Grassfed Gig at the Cornish Bank in 2025, so it’s super exciting to see they are making their festival debut this May. Get ready for heavy guitar riffs, anthemic vocals and a little bit of punk-angst.
The Great Estate crowned 3 winners of the Battle of the Bands. Be sure to check out The Regalos (13:45) and Tooth Gore (15:00) at the Madame Wong’s House of Wrong stage on Friday 29th May.
FFO: Muse, Three Days Grace, Fall Out Boy
Dialler
Saturday 30th May | 12:30 | The Wild Woods
A stage curated by Clunk, The Wild Woods are hosting an incredible lineup of South West bands and DJs throughout the weekend. Opening the stage on Saturday afternoon, Falmouth-based band Dialler will bring a hard-hitting wall of sound with a blend of raw and melancholic vocals. Definitely ones to watch.
FFO: The Smashing Pumpkins, Geese, Duster
Jo Hill
Saturday 30th May | 16:30 | Stage on the Green
Hailing from the South West, Jo Hill has been travelling the UK performing a number of shows, including performing with Ziggy Alberts at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2025. A must-watch at this year’s festival, enjoy a soulful pop set on late Saturday afternoon with vibrant melodies, stunning vocals and a hint of country flair.
FFO: Clario, Gatlin, Maisie Peters
Petrea
Sunday 31st May | 13:15 | Stage on the Green
Performing for a third year in a row at the Great Estate, Falmouth band and festival favourites, Petrea will be taking to the main stage on Sunday afternoon for a rock soundscape filled with ethereal vocals, thunderous drums and walls of distorted guitar. If you’ve not seen Petrea perform live, add this to your reminder list.
FFO: Amy Lee, Evanescence, Muse
COSM
Sunday | 16:30 | The Wild Woods
The woodlands are transported into atmospheric cosmos with psych-gazers, COSM taking to the stage for their festival debut. The band have been making waves in the local music scene for the past couple of years with their shoegaze-like soundscape oozing with melodic harmonies from Tom and Jim, Emily’s energetic guitar rhythms, and Zach’s thumping drums.
