Isle of Wight Festival 2023? Completed it! And wow just wow, what an incredible weekend it was! We brought Falmouth’s very own Mothman, The Man to the festival lineup, we covered the Platform One stage and we were surrounded by a collective of incredible up-and-coming musicians and bands throughout the weekend.

Here are 6 stand-out acts from the Platform One stage that we believe are ones to watch:

rhirhi

From start to finish, rhirhi well and truly left us all in awe. Her unique blend of indie bedroom pop, ambient pop, and songwriter artistry created such a magical atmosphere in the Platform One tent on Friday afternoon!

FFO: Dodie, Cavetown, and Arlo Parks

The Optimists

Sun-soaked sounds, electrifying presence, and uplifting vibes, The Optimists well and truly rocked the  Platform One Stage! Their set was absolutely incredible, and the indie alt-rock band had not one but TWO more sets at this year’s festival, including a Main Stage performance on Sunday! INSANE! The indie alt-rock band have SO MANY exciting plans for the coming months! Get ready!

Mothman, The Man

Yes, you heard right! We unleashed the unstoppable force of Mothman, The Man to the Isle of Wight Festival 2023. Straight out of Falmouth, Cornwall, the psychedelic garage rock band brought their head-banging energy to the Platform One stage with their combination of gritty guitars, pulsating basslines, and hypnotic vocals.

Ear Candy

With a band brimming with excitement, Ear Candy brought an energy-filled performance bursting with charisma! We absolutely loved seeing Ear Candy live, and we think you will too!

FFO: Harry Styles, Cavetown, The 1975, Japanese Breakfast, George Moir, Ellie Dixon

RUBY

Her performance was truly special, intertwining soft sounds, with ethereal vocals and heartfelt storytelling filled with raw emotion. Ruby is a rising star in the grassroots music scene and we are super excited to see what she has in store in the months ahead!

FFO: Maisie Peters, Holly Humberstone, Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift

The tent transformed into a sea of dancing and boogieing with Romy’s soulful melodies and upbeat pop hooks! We’re excited to see what they have planned next!
