The sun is out, the weather is getting warmer, and the scrumptious scent of barbecues is flooding through your streets on a spring-summer evening. This can only mean one thing — Festival season is upon us!
We are only a few days away from the next Great Estate Festival 2025. Nestled in Scorrier Estate in Cornwall, the grounds are filled with festival tents, great music, food and a myriad of amazing workshops and activities for all ages. Are you planning on going this year? We’ve picked out 5 artists you should be checking out at this year’s festival!
Petrea | Friday 30th May | Stage on the Green
One of the most exciting bands to come out of Falmouth, Petrea made their festival debut at last year’s Great Estate. They’re now back to tear up the main stage at this year’s festival. Petrea’s music is dark and heavy alt rock/metal, which creates a soundscape that grabs the listener and takes you to the darkest abyss of emotions. Ellie’s vocals are raw and powerful, but also contrast the heavy music with beautiful melodies, reminiscent of the likes of Amy Lee from Evanescence.
Will Eason & Joe Hurworth | Sunday 1st June | Stage on the Green
A festival favourite for many, and it’s easy to see why. Get ready to be seduced by the calm and soulful groove of their music, just before your mind explodes from the stunning virtuosity of their vocals and guitar playing. Will Eason will be sharing the stage with the equally incredible Joe Hurworth; it’s a neo-soul double whammy with a full-band setup. You’d be silly to miss it!
3 Days of Wonder | Friday 30th May | Stage on the Green
MIDI TV’s best new band of 2025 are making their way down to Cornwall to show us all why Devon can’t get enough of this new 4-piece rock outfit. A fresh take on the U2 style stadium rock sound, the band have created songs that have captured the hearts of many people around the South West and have gone on to become new rising stars in the festival scene.
Kitty Crocker | Sunday 1st June | Secret Gin Garden
Musical storyteller, Kitty Crocker, is back to play another masterful set at this year’s festival. Off the back of releasing their newest EP “Good Riddance and Goodbye”, Kitty’s music brings forward honest and deeply emotional lyrics on top of a bed of mellow acoustic guitars. Through storytelling, she’s able to capture very personal emotions and translate them into songs that have connected with music fans across Cornwall. A future star and not one to sleep on!
Winter Mountain | Sunday 1st June | The Rainforest Zone
Having shared stages with the likes of Bryan Adams, Paolo Nutini, and The Feeling, Winter Mountain will be taking to the newly introduced Rainforest Zone. The Cornwall singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will perform a set of tracks showcasing his heartfelt storytelling through raw lyrics and raspy vocals.
