My current project’s working title is Sensory Overload. I am aiming to explore, through various methods of visual representation, Leo Kanner’s initial definitions of autism as a condition in 1943. As summarised in The Handbook of Autism by Aarons and Gittens, 1992, there are nine key points raised. I am trying to explain through my eyes as a living case study these nine points, plus simultaneously react to them subjectively through a modern lens.
